Spring finally showed up in style for Sunday Tags, with sunny skies and a high near 61 degrees making for near-perfect conditions out at Prickly Pines. A field of 32 players turned out to take advantage of the beautiful day, and the competition did not disappoint — Nick Schroeder made an absolute statement at the top, while six new members made their presence known across the board.

Top Performances

Nick Schroeder had the round of the day, firing a 52 to rocket from #68 all the way to the #1 tag — a stunning 67-spot climb that also earned him two CTP wins. John Ciruzzi backed it up with a 53 to jump from #49 to #3. Three players tied at 54 rounded out the top five: Kevin Hopkins (#21 to #5), Ryan Corley (#38 to #6), and Shane Haas (#46 to #8), all making big moves up the leaderboard on a gorgeous afternoon.

New Player Highlights

Six new members joined the tags family this week. Erikah Weir had the standout debut, shooting a 55 to land at #17 — a confident first showing right out of the gate. Edgar Cruz also made a strong entrance with a 58, settling in at #62. LD Duran, Grace Royal, Lauren Philpott, and Meredith Hoerske all checked in for the first time as well, with Philpott picking up a CTP win to go along with her debut.
