Established in 2018 through a partnership between the Elizabeth Park & Recreation District and local designers Cameron Burrow and Jeremy Priest, Prickly Pines was born from a vision of a high-adventure, technical disc golf experience. What began as a rugged, 9-hole course has matured into a 4.5-star, 18-hole destination course with a thriving community of local loyalists and regional commuters.
From Hanging with Friends to a Vibrant Community
From the first group of friends to the current Prickly Pines Disc Golf Club, we’ve stayed focused on:
Advocating for Improvements: Act as a primary liaison with the Town of Elizabeth and the Park Board to ensure the course remains a premier destination.
Managing a Dual-Course Ecosystem: Oversee both the technical, championship-level Prickly Pines at Evans Park and the accessible, beginner-friendly Creekside Community Church Course.
Growing Our Community: Maintaining our courses to attract new players, fundraising, and holding community events that anchor the sport in Elizabeth year-round.
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and amplify the unique character of Elizabeth’s disc golf landscape. We believe in a “Pack It In, Pack It Out” ethos and serve as the dedicated stewards for the courses we manage. As we grow, our hope is to ensure that the grassroots spirit that built these courses is carried on by the community, where new friendships are formed and the legacy continues.
