Prickly Pines Weekly Disc Golf Recap – March 29, 2026

Sunday delivered the kind of spring afternoon that makes disc golf feel effortless — partly sunny skies, a high of 72 degrees, and 37 players making the most of it out at Prickly Pines. The field was loaded with new faces, big movers, and a tag shake-up at the very top.

  • #1 Tag: AJ Glasshof — 50
  • #2 Tag: Travis Blasé — 51
  • #3 Tag: Eric Kent — 52
  • #5 Tag: Ryan Hofsheier — 52
  • #6 Tag: Adam horst — 53

Top Performances

AJ Glasshof held firm at the top, shooting a 50 to defend the #1 tag from a strong challenge. The biggest move of the day came from Travis Blasé, who launched from 27th all the way to 2nd with a blistering 51 — an impressive 25-spot climb. Ryan Hofsheier also had a strong showing, surging from 14th to 5th with a 52 to lock up a top-five spot.

New Player Highlights

Seven new players joined the Prickly Pines tag league today and several made an immediate impact. Nick Hanson put together an impressive debut, shooting a 56 to land at #14. Travis Lett and Dane Palazzo both carded 57s and settled in at #16 and #20 respectively — solid first-round showings that put them right in the mix. Ken Cole checked in at #66 with a 59, Travis Hoyle landed at #83 with a 62, and Harriette Shakeri and Tyler Blake rounded out the new additions at #107 and #109. Welcome to the league, all!

Big Movers

Several returning players made significant strides up the standings:

  • Travis Blasé: 27th → 2nd (+25)
  • Cameron Burrow: 83rd → 64th (+19)
  • Ryan Hofsheier: 14th → 5th (+9)
  • Adam Braa: 16th → 11th (+5)
  • Eric Kent: 5th → 3rd (+2)

Looking Ahead

The ace pot rolls over to next week — keep throwing at those chains. With 37 players checking in today and a wave of new members joining the ranks, competition is only going to get tighter as the season rolls on. See you out there!

Creekside Course Workday — Saturday, April 4, 9:30am We’ll be out at Creekside Disc Golf Course for a workday and we need your help. Bring rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and tarps. We’re also looking for donations of rebar (3–4 feet long) or tee posts to help stabilize the benches — if you have any to spare, please bring them out. Many hands make light work!
